The Lake District Hospital Auxiliary was established in 1970 and has been contributing to the hospital for over 55 years.
The purpose of the Lake District Hospital Auxiliary is to promote and advance the welfare of the Lake District Hospital. The Auxiliary raises funds by sponsoring the Holiday Fair in December and the Game and Card Party in the spring. A quilt raffle and Candygrams are other fundraisers held throughout the year.

In 2025, the Auxiliary voted to fund an ambulatory infusion pump for pharmacy, an infant Bubble CPAP for cardio-pulmonary and an MRI Lead for radiology. Members of the Auxiliary meet the first Monday of the month at noon at the hospital. Meeting new friends while providing valuable services are a couple of the benefits of membership.
