Lake District Hospital’s Outpatient Nursing & Infusion Department provides convenient, coordinated nursing care and infusion services for patients who need treatment or procedures without requiring a hospital admission.
Our experienced nursing team works closely with providers, pharmacy, and other members of the healthcare team to provide safe, personalized care while helping patients stay close to home.
Infusion/Outpatient Nursing Services
Our Infusion Department provides a comfortable outpatient setting for patients receiving therapies, including:
- IV medication infusions
- Iron infusions
- Antibiotic infusions
- Biologic and specialty medication infusions
- IV hydration
- Injection therapies
- Blood transfusions
- PICC line care and maintenance
- Port access, maintenance, and de-access
- Blood draws from appropriate vascular access devices
- Foley catheter placement and care
- Non-Stress Tests (NSTs)
- Lactation Consultations

How To Receive Services?
Most outpatient nursing and infusion services require a provider order.
Your healthcare provider will send the appropriate order and supporting information to our department. When necessary, our team will coordinate prior authorization and scheduling.
Once your treatment is scheduled, our nursing team will provide instructions regarding your appointment.
